Aït Benhaddou is a historic ksar (fortified village) located in the Ouarzazate province of Morocco. This UNESCO World Heritage site is renowned for its stunning earthen clay architecture, with buildings that date back to the 17th century. Nestled along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech, it features a series of kasbahs (fortified homes) and communal areas surrounded by high walls, all constructed in traditional Moroccan style. The site's dramatic landscapes and well-preserved structures have made it a popular filming location for numerous movies and television series, including "Gladiator," "Game of Thrones," and "Lawrence of Arabia.
