Akhtala Monastery, located in the town of Akhtala in the Lori Province of Armenia, is a 10th-century fortified church and monastery complex. Known for its stunning frescoes, which are among the best-preserved examples of Byzantine art in Armenia, the monastery is an architectural gem. The main church, Surb Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God), features intricate stone carvings and a blend of Armenian and Georgian architectural styles.
