Albi Cathedral, officially known as the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Cecilia, is a stunning Gothic masterpiece located in Albi, France. Constructed primarily from brick, it stands as one of the largest brick buildings in the world. The cathedral was built between 1282 and 1480 and is renowned for its imposing fortress-like exterior, which was designed to convey the power and authority of the Catholic Church during a time of religious conflict. Inside, the cathedral boasts an intricately painted ceiling, beautiful frescoes, and an elaborate choir screen.
