The Altino Arantes Building, also known as the "Banespão," is an iconic skyscraper located in São Paulo, Brazil. Completed in 1947, the building was originally constructed to house the headquarters of the Banco do Estado de São Paulo (Banespa). Inspired by the Empire State Building in New York City, the Altino Arantes Building stands at 161 meters (528 feet) tall and was the tallest building in São Paulo until 1960.
