Amarbayasgalant Monastery, located in the Selenge Province of northern Mongolia, is one of the largest and most well-preserved Buddhist monasteries in the country. Built in the early 18th century, it was dedicated to the great Mongolian religious leader Zanabazar. The architecture of the monastery reflects a harmonious blend of Tibetan and Chinese styles, showcasing intricate woodwork and ornate carvings. Despite suffering damage during the communist purges of the 1930s, Amarbayasgalant has undergone significant restoration and remains an important center for Buddhist worship and cultural heritage in Mongolia.
