Aoraki / Mount Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand, standing at 3,724 meters (12,218 feet) tall. It is located in the Southern Alps, the mountain range that runs the length of the South Island. The mountain is renowned for its stunning alpine scenery and is a popular destination for mountaineers and tourists alike.
