Aragonese Castle, located on the island of Ischia in Italy, is a historic fortress perched atop a volcanic rock connected to the island by a bridge. Originally built by Hiero I of Syracuse in 474 BC, the castle has undergone numerous reconstructions, most notably by Alfonso V of Aragon in 1441, giving it its current name. The castle complex includes medieval churches, ancient prisons, and lush gardens, offering panoramic views of the Bay of Naples.
