The Arles Amphitheatre, located in Arles, France, is an ancient Roman structure that dates back to 90 AD. This impressive arena was originally built to host gladiatorial contests and public spectacles, much like the more famous Colosseum in Rome. With a capacity to hold approximately 20,000 spectators, the amphitheatre features two tiers of arches and an elliptical shape, making it a marvel of Roman engineering and architecture.
