Arrecifes de Cozumel National Park, located off the coast of Cozumel, Mexico, is a renowned marine protected area that boasts some of the most vibrant and diverse coral reefs in the world. Established in 1996, the park covers approximately 120 square kilometers and includes a variety of underwater ecosystems, ranging from shallow coral gardens to deep oceanic walls. It is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, the second-largest coral reef system on the planet. The park is a popular destination for scuba diving and snorkeling, offering visitors the chance to encounter a rich array of marine life, including colorful fish, sea turtles, and various species of rays.
