Babruysk Fortress, located in Babruysk, Belarus, is a significant historic military structure dating back to the early 19th century. Constructed between 1810 and 1836 under the orders of Tsar Alexander I, the fortress was designed to protect the western borders of the Russian Empire against potential invasions by Napoleon's forces. Built in a strategic position on the Berezina River, it features a complex system of fortifications, including bastions, ravelins, and moats. Over the years, the fortress has witnessed various military engagements and has served different purposes, including as a garrison and a prison.
