Bagrati Cathedral, located in Kutaisi, Georgia, is a masterpiece of medieval Georgian architecture. Originally constructed in the early 11th century during the reign of King Bagrat III, the cathedral is an important symbol of the Georgian Golden Age and the unification of the country. Despite suffering significant damage over the centuries, including a devastating Ottoman attack in the 17th century, Bagrati Cathedral remains a significant cultural and religious landmark. It was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994, although its status was later in jeopardy due to controversial reconstruction efforts.
