Bako National Park, located in the Malaysian state of Sarawak on the island of Borneo, is renowned for its rich biodiversity and unique landscapes. Established in 1957, it is the oldest national park in Sarawak and covers an area of approximately 27 square kilometers. The park features a remarkable variety of ecosystems, including mangrove swamps, dipterocarp forests, and peat swamp forests, as well as stunning coastal cliffs and sandy beaches. Bako is home to a wide range of wildlife, such as the proboscis monkey, Bornean bearded pig, and various species of hornbills. Visitors to the park can enjoy an extensive network of hiking trails, each offering different levels of difficulty and opportunities to observe the park's flora and fauna.
