Barzan Towers

Barzan Towers, located in Umm Salal Mohammed, Qatar, are historic watchtowers that were constructed in the late 19th century. These towers were originally built for defensive purposes, offering a vantage point to spot incoming ships and to protect the local water sources. Standing at approximately 16 meters tall, the Barzan Towers feature a distinctive T-shaped design, which is unique to Qatari architecture. Over the years, the towers have been restored and now serve as a cultural landmark, reflecting Qatar's rich history and heritage.
