Belle Isle Aquarium, located on Belle Isle Park in Detroit, Michigan, is the oldest continuously operating aquarium in the United States, having opened its doors in 1904. The historic building, designed by renowned architect Albert Kahn, features a distinctive green, arched ceiling that creates an immersive underwater experience for visitors.
