Bénoué National Park, located in northern Cameroon, is a significant wildlife sanctuary that offers a diverse array of flora and fauna. Spanning approximately 1,800 square kilometers, the park is part of the UNESCO Bénoué Biosphere Reserve and is characterized by its savannah landscapes, gallery forests, and the Bénoué River which traverses the area. The park is home to a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, and several species of antelope. It is also a haven for birdwatchers, with over 300 bird species recorded.
