Białowieża National Park, located in Hajnówka, Poland, is one of the oldest national parks in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It protects the last and largest remaining parts of the primeval forest that once covered much of the European Plain. The park is renowned for its rich biodiversity, including ancient trees, diverse plant species, and a variety of wildlife. It is particularly famous for being home to the European bison, the continent's heaviest land animal.
