Brod Fortress in Slavonski Brod, Croatia, is a well-preserved example of an 18th-century Baroque-style military fortification. Built by the Habsburg Monarchy between 1715 and 1780, the fortress was part of a network of defensive structures designed to protect the empire's southern borders from Ottoman incursions. Covering an area of approximately 33 hectares, the fortress features extensive earthen ramparts, bastions, and a moat. It also houses several historic buildings, including barracks, a chapel, and an armory.
