Brookfield Zoo, located in Brookfield, Illinois, just outside Chicago, is a renowned zoological park that spans over 216 acres. Opened in 1934, it is known for its innovative and naturalistic exhibits that house a diverse collection of animals from around the world. The zoo is home to more than 450 species, including big cats, primates, aquatic animals, and birds. Notable exhibits include Tropic World, which is one of the largest indoor zoo exhibits in the world, and the Great Bear Wilderness, which provides expansive habitats for grizzly bears, polar bears, and bison.
