The Buzludzha Monument, located in the Central Balkan Mountains near Shipka, Bulgaria, is a striking example of Brutalist architecture. Built during the communist era, it was completed in 1981 to commemorate the founding of the Bulgarian Social Democratic Party in 1891, which later became the Bulgarian Communist Party. The monument's futuristic, UFO-like design features a large, circular hall with a distinctive saucer-shaped roof. Once a site for political gatherings and celebrations, it now stands abandoned and is a popular but eerie destination for tourists and photographers.
