Byeongsan Seowon is a historic Confucian academy located in Andong, South Korea. Established in 1613 during the Joseon Dynasty, it served as both an educational institution and a memorial shrine. Dedicated to the renowned Confucian scholar Ryu Seong-ryong, Byeongsan Seowon is renowned for its beautiful architecture, which harmoniously blends with the surrounding natural landscape. The academy is an excellent example of traditional Korean architecture and Confucian scholastic culture, and it has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site as part of the "Seowon, Korean Neo-Confucian Academies" inscription.
