Casas Grandes, also known as Paquimé, is an archaeological site located in the northern Mexican state of Chihuahua. It flourished between the 12th and 15th centuries and is one of the most significant pre-Columbian cultural and commercial centers in the region. The site is renowned for its complex multi-storied adobe structures, intricate water management systems, and distinctive pottery. The architecture and artifacts found at Casas Grandes suggest strong trade connections with other Mesoamerican cultures, including the Ancestral Puebloans in the American Southwest.
