Built in 1913-1914 by industrialist Thomas Gustave Plant, the estate, originally known as Lucknow, sits on 5,500 acres in the Ossipee Mountain Range and offers breathtaking views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the surrounding mountains. The mansion itself is an architectural marvel of the Arts and Crafts movement, featuring intricate woodwork, custom-made furnishings, and innovative features for its time. The property also includes extensive gardens, hiking trails, waterfalls, and a carriage house with a café and gallery.
