The Cathedral of Funchal, also known as Sé Catedral, is a prominent religious and historical landmark located in Funchal, the capital of Madeira, Portugal. Completed in the early 16th century, the cathedral is an excellent example of Gothic architecture with some Manueline influences. It features a distinctive, richly decorated wooden ceiling made from local cedar wood, and its altar is adorned with intricate gilded carvings.
