It is one of the largest churches in Latin America and serves as the main Catholic church of the Archdiocese of La Plata. Construction of the cathedral began in 1884 and was completed in 1999, taking over a century to finalize. Its towering spires, intricate stained glass windows, and detailed stone carvings make it an architectural masterpiece. The interior boasts a grand nave, beautifully designed altars, and a remarkable crypt.
