The Cathedral of San Fernando, located in San Antonio, Texas, is one of the oldest cathedrals in the United States, with its construction beginning in 1738 and completed in 1750. Officially named the Cathedral of Our Lady of Candelaria and Guadalupe, it serves as the mother church of the Archdiocese of San Antonio. This historic cathedral is renowned for its Gothic Revival architecture and vibrant cultural significance, playing a central role in the spiritual life of the local community. It also holds the remains of some of the heroes of the Alamo, making it a site of historical importance as well as a place of worship.
