Château de Chantilly is a historic French château located in the town of Chantilly, approximately 50 kilometers north of Paris. It is renowned for its stunning architecture, expansive gardens, and significant art collection. The château consists of two attached buildings: the Petit Château, which was built around 1560 for Anne de Montmorency, and the Grand Château, which was destroyed during the French Revolution and later rebuilt in the 19th century by Henri d'Orléans, Duke of Aumale. The estate also features the Musée Condé, which houses one of the finest art collections in France, including works by Raphael, Botticelli, and Delacroix. The château is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens designed by André Le Nôtre, who also designed the gardens of the Palace of Versailles. The Great Stables, known as the Grandes Écuries, are another notable feature, housing the Living Museum of the Horse.
