The Church of Saint Francis of Assisi, located in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, is a masterpiece of modern architecture designed by the renowned Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. Completed in 1943, it is part of the Pampulha Modern Ensemble, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2016. The church is known for its bold, curvilinear design and features stunning murals by Cândido Portinari, as well as landscape work by Roberto Burle Marx.
