Coba is an ancient Mayan city located in the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico. It is renowned for its impressive network of elevated stone roads, known as sacbeob, which connect various parts of the city and extend to other Mayan sites. One of Coba's most notable structures is the Nohoch Mul pyramid, which stands at approximately 42 meters (138 feet) tall, making it one of the tallest pyramids in the Yucatán. The site flourished between 600 and 900 AD, and it is believed to have been a major urban center with a population that may have reached up to 50,000 inhabitants.
