Corcovado is a prominent mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, renowned for its iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer (Cristo Redentor) that stands atop its peak. The statue, which was completed in 1931, is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a symbol of Christianity across the globe.
