Daming Palace in Xi'an, China, was the imperial palace complex of the Tang Dynasty, serving as the primary residence for the emperors and the political center of the empire. Constructed in 634 AD during the reign of Emperor Taizong, it covered an area of approximately 3.11 square kilometers, making it one of the largest palace complexes in the world.
