Darasbari Mosque, located in the Chapai Nawabganj district of Bangladesh, is an impressive example of medieval Islamic architecture. Constructed in 1479 during the rule of Sultan Shamsuddin Yusuf Shah, the mosque is part of the historic city of Gaur. It features a rectangular prayer hall with a central nave and several smaller domes supported by octagonal pillars. The mosque's name, 'Darasbari,' translates to 'House of Learning,' indicating its historical use as an educational center. The intricate terracotta ornamentation and elegant arches reflect the sophisticated craftsmanship of the Bengal Sultanate period.
