Die Fremden, also known as "The Strangers," is a public art installation by the artist Thomas Schütte, located in Kassel, Germany. The work comprises a group of life-sized, bronze figures that are positioned on rooftops and other elevated structures, giving the impression that they are observing the city from above. This evocative installation was first exhibited during Documenta IX in 1992 and has since become a permanent fixture.
