Donglin Temple, located in Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province, China, is a historically significant Buddhist temple with a profound heritage dating back to the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420 AD). It was founded in 386 AD by the eminent monk Huiyuan, who is also credited with establishing the Pure Land Buddhism school. The temple complex is renowned for its picturesque setting at the foot of Lushan Mountain and its rich cultural and religious history.
