Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park, located in Pocahontas County, West Virginia, is a historic site that commemorates the Civil War Battle of Droop Mountain. Fought on November 6, 1863, it was one of the largest engagements in West Virginia during the Civil War and resulted in a significant Union victory. The park features a museum with artifacts and exhibits related to the battle, as well as interpretive trails, a lookout tower offering panoramic views of the surrounding Allegheny Mountains, and picnic areas.
