Drum Point Light is a historic screw-pile lighthouse located in Solomons, Maryland. Originally constructed in 1883, it served to mark the entrance to the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay. The lighthouse features a hexagonal wooden cottage structure mounted on seven wrought-iron screw-piles, which were designed to anchor it securely into the seabed. In 1975, Drum Point Light was decommissioned and subsequently moved to the Calvert Marine Museum, where it was restored and is now open to the public as a museum exhibit.
