Dungarvan Castle, located in Dungarvan, County Waterford, Ireland, is a historic Norman fortification dating back to the early 13th century. Built by King John of England around 1209, the castle features a circular keep, an enclosing curtain wall, and a gatehouse. It was strategically positioned to control the river and the surrounding area. Over the centuries, the castle has seen various modifications and uses, including serving as a military barracks in the 18th and 19th centuries.
