Eilean Donan is a small island situated at the point where three sea lochs meet—Loch Duich, Loch Long, and Loch Alsh—in the western Highlands of Scotland, near the village of Dornie. The island is most famous for its picturesque medieval castle, Eilean Donan Castle, which was originally built in the 13th century. The castle has been restored and is one of the most iconic and photographed landmarks in Scotland, often featured in movies and on postcards.
