Ella Rock is a popular hiking destination located in Ella, a small town in the Badulla District of Uva Province in Sri Lanka. Known for its stunning panoramic views, the hike to Ella Rock takes visitors through lush tea plantations, dense forests, and open grasslands. The journey to the summit can be quite challenging, involving steep inclines and rocky paths, but the breathtaking vistas of the surrounding mountains and valleys make it well worth the effort. At the top, hikers are rewarded with a sweeping view of the Ella Gap and the distant southern plains. The trail is well-marked, and it’s recommended to start the hike early in the morning to avoid the midday heat.
