Franconia Notch State Park, located in the heart of the White Mountains in New Hampshire, is a stunning natural area known for its dramatic mountain scenery and outdoor recreational opportunities. The park features the iconic Franconia Notch, a mountain pass that offers breathtaking views and a variety of activities for visitors. Key attractions include the Flume Gorge, a natural granite gorge extending 800 feet at the base of Mount Liberty, and the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, which provides panoramic views from the summit. The park is also home to the Basin, a deep, glacially-carved pothole, and the remnants of the Old Man of the Mountain, a famous rock formation that collapsed in 2003.
