The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, located in Xi'an, China, is a historic Buddhist pagoda that dates back to the Tang Dynasty (618–907). Originally built in 652 during the reign of Emperor Gaozong, the pagoda was constructed to house Buddhist scriptures and figurines brought to China from India by the famous monk Xuanzang.
