Giebichenstein Castle is a historic fortress located in Halle, Germany. Perched on a hill overlooking the Saale River, it has roots dating back to the early Middle Ages. The castle comprises two main parts: the Upper Castle, which is largely in ruins today, and the Lower Castle, which has been better preserved.
