Gniezno Cathedral, known as the Archcathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Adalbert, is a historic church located in Gniezno, Poland. It is one of the most important religious sites in the country, serving as the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Gniezno. The cathedral is renowned for its Gothic architecture, which dates back to the 14th century, although its origins can be traced to the 10th century. The cathedral is famed for its bronze Gniezno Doors, which depict the life of St. Adalbert, and its richly decorated interior.
