Gorodok Chekistov, also known as the Chekist Town, is a notable architectural complex in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Constructed in the late 1920s and early 1930s, this ensemble was designed in the constructivist style, which was prevalent in Soviet architecture during that period. The complex originally served as a residential and administrative center for members of the Soviet secret police, the Cheka, and later the NKVD. Its design reflects the ideals of the era, emphasizing functionality and communal living, with features such as shared courtyards and facilities.
