Gran Sasso d'Italia is a prominent mountain massif in the Apennine range of central Italy. It is home to Corno Grande, the highest peak of the Apennines, standing at 2,912 meters (9,554 feet). The area is known for its stunning alpine scenery, diverse flora and fauna, and extensive outdoor recreational opportunities, including hiking, skiing, and climbing. Additionally, the Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga National Park, established in 1991, protects the region's natural beauty and biodiversity.
