Grossmünster in Zürich, Switzerland, is a prominent Romanesque-style Protestant church that holds significant historical and architectural importance. Legend has it that Charlemagne founded the church after discovering the graves of the city's patron saints, Felix and Regula. The construction of Grossmünster began around 1100 and was completed in the 13th century. The church is notable for its twin towers, which have become a distinctive symbol of Zürich. Inside, visitors can find beautiful stained glass windows by Swiss artist Augusto Giacometti and modern bronze doors by Otto Münch. Grossmünster also played a crucial role in the Protestant Reformation in Switzerland, led by Huldrych Zwingli in the early 16th century.
