The Hanging Temple in Datong, China, is an architectural marvel that clings to the side of a cliff on Mount Heng. Built over 1,500 years ago, this temple is unique for its combination of three traditional Chinese religions: Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. The structure is supported by wooden beams inserted into holes chiseled into the cliff face.
