Heceta Head Light is a historic lighthouse located on the Oregon coast, near the town of Florence. Perched 205 feet above the Pacific Ocean on Heceta Head, the lighthouse was first lit in 1894 and is renowned for its powerful beam, which can be seen up to 21 miles out to sea. The lighthouse is named after the Spanish explorer Bruno de Heceta, who sailed the Pacific Northwest in the 18th century.
