Horseshoe Falls, also known as the Canadian Falls, is one of the three waterfalls that together make up Niagara Falls on the Niagara River, which forms the border between Ontario, Canada, and New York, USA. It is the largest of the three waterfalls, with a width of approximately 2,600 feet (790 meters) and a height of about 167 feet (51 meters). The sheer volume of water that cascades over Horseshoe Falls—over 600,000 gallons per second—creates a mesmerizing and powerful spectacle. The falls are named for their distinctive curved, horseshoe-like shape. Visitors can experience the grandeur of Horseshoe Falls from various vantage points, including the Table Rock Welcome Centre, the Journey Behind the Falls attraction, and boat tours like the iconic Maid of the Mist.
