The Hospices de Beaune, also known as Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune, is a former charitable almshouse in Beaune, France, established in 1443 by Nicolas Rolin, the chancellor of Burgundy, and his wife Guigone de Salins. Renowned for its stunning Gothic architecture, the complex features colorful, patterned roof tiles that have become emblematic of the region. Originally founded to provide care for the poor and sick, the Hospices now houses a museum showcasing medieval medical instruments, art, and tapestries.
