Huaca del Sol, located in the Moche Valley near Trujillo, Peru, is one of the largest pre-Columbian structures in the Americas. Built by the Moche civilization between AD 100 and 800, this enormous adobe brick pyramid served as a political, administrative, and possibly religious center. The site includes a series of terraced platforms and impressive murals, some of which depict scenes of Moche daily life, rituals, and deities.
